Lahaina Dojo

The Lahaina Dojo of the Honolulu Ki society, also known as Lahaina Hongwanji Aikido Club, is hosted by the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission and led by Rick Lewis Sensei of Honolulu Ki Society. We are affiliated with the Northwest Ki Federation, and Ki Society HQ in Japan.

We teach students Ki principles and the martial art of Ki-Aikido.

We offer year-round Saturday classes (except for selected holidays). We have regularly scheduled children's classes. Adult and KiatsuĀ® classes will be scheduled based on demand.

The Lahaina Dojo of Honolulu Ki Society is located in Lahaina at 551 Waine'e St. at the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission. The dojo is on the second floor of the Kama'aina Kids preschool building, and entry is by a door and stairway at the right hand side of the building.

Instructors

All instructors are certified by Ki Society Headquarters in Japan.

Karen Lewis

Karen Lewis is a 1st degree black belt in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, a Shoden in Ki Development and an Assistant Ki Lecturer. She is also a graduate of the Personal Kiatsu School and an Assistant Kiatsu Lecturer. She has been training for 15 years and has been teaching since 2015.

Rick Lewis

Rick Lewis is an Ikkyu brown belt in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, a Shoden in Ki Development and an Assistant Ki Lecturer.He is also a graduate of the Personal Kiatsu School. He has been training for 15 years and has been teaching since 2021.
